At Smart Materials 3D we have developed the HIGH-SPEED seal, which certifies that our filaments are high speed. Our passion is innovation and excellence in 3D printing and as a team of industry experts, we have a wide range of printers of various brands and models. However, for high-speed testing, we chose the BambuLab P1S printer as our primary testing tool.

What led us to choose the BambuLab P1S?

Its reliability and ability to achieve amazing speeds make it the ideal option for subjecting our filaments to extreme conditions.

Our focus on the BambuLab P1S doesn't mean we ignore other printers in our arsenal. In fact, we use a variety of printers of different brands and models to explore and experiment with different printing techniques. This allows us to gain a deeper understanding of how our filaments behave in a variety of environments and configurations.

The High-Speed ​​seal development process was a collaborative effort involving our entire team of 3D printing experts. We work closely to adjust and optimize every aspect of printing, from extruder temperature to travel speed, with the goal of achieving the perfect balance between speed and quality, as can be seen in the following test done with our PLA RECYCLED IVORY WHITE.

One of the biggest concerns during the development process was delamination and lack of adhesion between layers, common problems in high-speed printing. To address this, we carry out extensive tests and adjustments in the composition of our filaments, as well as in our manufacturing processes. In this test you can see the excellent performance of the material in terms of overhangs, bridges and complex shapes, without warping, without stringing. and with a perfect finish in the small details.

WHICH FILAMENTS HAVE THE HIGH-SPEED SEAL?

After months of hard work and dedication, we finally achieved an important breakthrough, our filaments with the HIGH-SPEED seal:

• Speeds up to 300 mm/s.

As a last test, we have done a temperature test of two printed areas in ranges of 5Cº to verify that there is no significant variation in brightness, tone and texture.
