Innovatefil® Polyamide with Carbon Fiber (PA FC) is a filament with great mechanical resistance and excellent performance at high temperatures. The mixture of polyamides and carbon fiber allows printing large objects, without deformation and extremely strong, and makes the filament increase its strength and rigidity. This filament is especially indicated for professional users who require a higher quality in their impressions and it is mainly intended for pieces that will have a final or direct use.

Its main advantages include the ability to work at temperatures of 150ºC, it also has a great adhesion between layers which provides the printed piece with great resistance regardless of the printing position. The incorporation of carbon fiber increases electrical conductivity, making it suitable for conductive and dissipative applications.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE USE OF CARBON FIBER

Carbon fiber makes this filament very abrasive, so it is necessary to use hardened steel nozzles or similar to print, to avoid premature wear of the components.

To achieve a better finish and avoid printing problems, it is recommended to use 0.6 mm diameter nozzles and print layer height of 0.2 mm or higher. Failure to follow these recommendations can cause clogging problems in the nozzle.

KEEP THE EXTRUDER IN GOOD CONDITION

Once the printing is finished, it is necessary to clean the nozzle, removing excess material to avoid clogging and unwanted defects. If multiple materials are used, it is advisable to have a nozzle for each material to avoid unwanted mixing. We recommend the use of Smartfil CLEAN for cleaning the extruder
