Innovatefil® PET Carbon Fiber (PET CF)

It is a PET-based 3d printing filament that incorporates carbon fiber. Thanks to this union, the great qualities of PET are maintained and its mechanical and thermal properties are increased. The stability and ease of printing allow to obtain pieces with a remarkable finish, its main advantages are:

  • High mechanical and thermal resistance.
  • Great chemical resistance.
  • Low moisture absorption.
  • Good dimensional stability.
  • Perfect surface finish.

TIPS FOR USE AND RECOMMENDATIONS:

PROTECT YOURSELF FROM MOISTURE

Innovatefil ® PET FC is not prone to absorbing moisture, even so, good storage and care of the material is recommended, therefore, it is delivered in a vacuum bag with great protection against moisture so that the filament cannot absorb ambient moisture. Before being bagged, the filament follows the strictest quality controls, dehumidifying the raw material until it achieves a moisture content of less than 0.02%.

Once the product is unpacked, it is recommended to keep it in a dry and dark environment.

RECOMMENTATIONS FOR THE USE OF CARBON FIBER

Carbon fiber makes this filament very abrasive, so it is necessary to use hardened steel nozzles or similar to print, and thus avoid premature wear of the components

To achieve a better finish and avoid printing problems, it is recommended to use 0.6 mm diameter nozzles and print a layer height of 0.2 mm or higher, not following these recommendations can cause clogging problems in the nozzle.

USE AN APPROPRIATE DEVICE FOR PRINTING

This material requires demanding printing conditions, depending on the printer it may require an extruder capable of reaching 270ºC, make sure your printer has the capacity to print it.
